We provide multiple vitamins to children in foster care
for free
Children entering foster care are at high-risk for severe nutritional deficiencies. Currently, multiple vitamins are not covered by the state, and fall on foster parents to cover the cost. Even then, some agencies will require a prescription to administer multiple vitamins to foster children. Because of these obstacles, children in foster care rarely get the nutritional supplemental that they so greatly need. We think this is unfair, and this is where we come in. Our hope is to streamline the process in which a prescription for multiple vitamins may be obtained if necessary, and then provide the multiple vitamins for children, free of charge.
